Peter Kay has risen to be one of Britain's top comedian's of the past 5 years. He has risen into the public image through his very popular TV comedy series "Phoenix Nights" which earned him a Bafta award. Despite the success of TV he still very much enjoys live stand up comedy acts. His concert tours of Britain are frequently sold out, often very early.

Often at Peter Kay's concerts his mother or "aunties" come to watch as well. For example during the DVD "Live at the Top of Blackpool Tower" and "Live at the Bolton Arena"
