I studied Economics at A level and took a degree in PPE (Politics, Philosophy and Economics) at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. After leaving University I worked as a gardener, but it didn't pay very much so I got a job as an Economics teacher.

I have also written an Economics Revision Guide which is quite popular with students, it shall soon be published at Economics Help.org, along with other essays I have written.

Note: There is another Richard Pettinger who has written many books on Business and Management at City University London. Its quite a coincidence because Richard Pettinger is quite an unusual name.
