Winter Lettuce
Despite cold and rain, the lettuce in raised beds looks quite good. There is mustard, spinach, lettuce and lamb’s lettuce. It looks colourful. The lettuce as sown in September, which is quite late. I was picking a lot until late November when growth really slows down. It’s not really growing much at moment, though I could take a few leaves for Christmas dinner. (more…)
December 2020 in Florence Park
Yesterday was a wet, cold and dark day. Too wet for cycling so I took a short walk to Florence Park. There is a little spring blossom on this tree, but the white bark of the Silver birches stands out more.
